After all of these years of traveling, I finally started a blog. I am very excited to have a place where I can share my experiences working with fair trade artists and raising money for the schools in India. There are so many challenges and amazing opportunities in my field. From the logistics and setting up a business, to public speaking, to increasing my knowledge about fair trade, I find so many opportunities to do learn and exercise different skills as I work. 

Fair trade is a new model, a new trade system and those of us involved with it are helping to shape what it will be. I strive to select beautifully handmade products that people can appreciate for their art and beauty. Art is an expression of the human heart which is why we are so drawn to it. If we can appreciate and enjoy the products, knowing that they are made by people who benefit from their jobs, we can feel that much better about buying it. I am not sure when human beings thought that it was ok to exploit one another but we can stand up and fight against it. We have power as consumers.

I intend for my blog to be a place where I can talk about everything from the artists I work with to my experiences at fairs. I know there are many people out there who are also trying to make their way in business. I hope we can be resources for one another. Enjoy the blog!
