These placemats are handmade with smaller tigers walking in different directions with a green heart print border. The home décor with the tiger prints give these pieces a unique tribal appearance to them. The placemats are also available in orange and pink.
Artisan Group: Ranthambore Ranthambore artisans create handmade textiles as a reflection of the incredible natural world that surrounds them. The fair trade artisan cooperative is located outside of Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, India. Tiger motifs, floral backgrounds and vibrant colors make Ranthambore's work unique and playful. The cooperative started with 20 artisans and now employs over 200. In addition to fair wages, importers pay a small premium for each product they purchase. The money is collected and the women vote on how to spend it; on healthcare, community outreach or education. This empowers the women and improves the well being of the whole community. |  |
